Party Wall, Boundary, Neighbourly and Easement Matters:

​

Administering numerous party structure, boundary and neighbour-matter jobs in private practice and as a Consultant in London, and nationwide. Expertise in the current and historic London Acts. Produced a comprehensive in-house handbook for practitioners. Fellow (currently National Chairperson) of the Pyramus & Thisbe Society (P&T) London (Working Party RICS Forum, Past Chairperson and Treasurer of Suffolk Branch, previously on Constitution Working Group & Protocol Group, currently on Green Book Group. On P&T Party Wall telephone helpline panel. Conducted seminars for various organisations. Acting as Agreed Surveyor, Building Owner or Adjoining Owner’s Surveyor and as consulting Third Surveyor. Advice, negotiation and implementation of Consent Matters, eg crane/ scaffold oversail, temporary encroachment licences, and boundary matters, etc.

Health and Safety Matters:

​

Acting as CDM Consultant / Health and Safety Advisor in connection with various commercial, residential, medical and public utility projects in London and suburbs. Projects include listed and unlisted residential/retail properties, large department stores, hotels, hospitals, stadia, printing presses, weaving mills, schools, residential, academic, retail new build, etc. Continually researching various aspects of the CDM Regulations and related issues. Member of WWT. Past member of HSE committee for manual handling of large panels. Past committee member of the London Health and Safety Group.

Structural Engineering Matters:

​

Competent in matters relating to refurbishment and new build projects in central London and suburbs, including soil investigation and foundation design, timber, masonry, steel and concrete design, cracks, deflections, distortions, structural repair works, subsidence, settlement etc. Acted as structural IT consultant for one firm. Currently specialised in Party Wall and CDM matters, but maintain knowledge and experience on a constant basis, in relation to the specialised services. Undertake structural remedial reports especially when relating to party walls and floors, and isolated structural refurbishment. Acting as Engineering Advisor when called upon by party wall surveyors. Acting as Expert Witness.
